TESTIMONIAL
Through the pandemic I had the absolute honor of being connected to the work of Marisa White through Abigail Kreuser at Kreuser Gallery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Like many, the pandemic forced my family and I to spend more time than ever at home through COVID-19, which thankfully allowed us to focus on turning our house into a home. We were able to secure three pieces from Marisa, which perfectly capture the magic of the way our family interacts with the world around us.
During the summer of 2021, Marisa opened an opportunity to book commissions. I jumped at the chance to capture my own family in the beautiful way Marisa’s artistic eye captures the world. Together, we embarked on a six-month adventure to craft a composition that would perfectly depict my two children, Austin and Emelia.
We didn’t know what to expect from this process and were beyond pleasantly surprised with every interaction with Marisa. She took so much time getting to know each of us individually. After the first meeting I was a bit worried about how we had shown up to her artist-eye but hung in there with anticipation for her return. At our second meeting, it became extremely clear that she “saw” my children for exactly who they are – beautiful, intelligent, kind, loving, and unique. Through her composition she highlighted the best parts of each of them, without either overshadowing the other. She saw my son as he is; brilliant, inquisitive, studious, and loving. She saw my daughter exactly as she is; strong, caring, animal loving, and the perfect complement in all ways to her brother and our family.
We will forever be grateful for the beauty Marisa has brought into our lives. Her piece is something we will cherish forever.
She is magic. Pure magic.
